Why Pursue Chemistry Management at Etown?
Our chemistry management track allows students to reap the benefits of an education grounded in the liberal arts, while combining practical chemistry skills with relevant business skills needed to be effective and knowledgeable managers.
Interdisciplinary Approach to Chemistry Management
Our chemistry management track consists of coursework from several academic programs, including: chemistry, business, math, finance, accounting, and economics. Our science courses ensure our students receive the theoretical knowledge and hands-on application of skills required by chemists. Business courses then provide fundamental business and organizational principles and provide managerial training needed by leaders in the business world.
Independent Research Opportunities
Students are encouraged to complete independent research projects to explore their interests and practice their skills. Completing an independent research project allows the student to demonstrate to future employers an ability to tackle real-world problems.
Diverse Career Options
Our chemistry management program equips students with essential chemistry and business skills. After graduation, students may choose to enter chemistry or business-based careers. Graduates who choose to enter traditional chemistry jobs can demonstrate their eligibility for promotion based on the leadership skills they’ve developed throughout their coursework and research experience. Graduates in this concentration are competitive for a variety of opportunities including law school, pharmaceutical marketing and sales, healthcare management, and consulting.
