Student Patrol Application
The Student Patrol Officer (SPO) program is designed to provide additional safety and security to the college community while at the same time providing an on campus work opportunity for students. SPOs patrol the campus on foot providing extra “eyes and ears” for the full-time staff. They verify that residence halls are secure and that campus is safe and secure for the members of the campus as well as guests. They also provide escorts when needed and assist with parking and crowd control.
Maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA
Demonstrate Qualities of dependability and responsibility
Able to work late hours and in adverse weather conditions
Willing to be a positive role model both on and off duty
Any student wishing to apply for this position may do so. The application consists of three references (one from the Faculty Advisor, one from the RA, and one from any other faculty or staff member) and an application. Students may stop by the Campus Safety Office to pick up an application packet or they can obtain the reference forms here and submit an application through Student Employment.
