3+4 Temple University Doctor of Dental Medicine Program

Students already at Elizabethtown College (EC) are invited by HPAC to apply to the spring of their second year at EC. Contact the Chair of the Health Professions Advisory Committee for further information regarding this program. Following the interested student’s Temple University interview, Temple will notify Elizabethtown College's HPAC and the student that s/he does or does not qualify for a letter of provisional acceptance to the Temple University School of Dentistry’s Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree Program.


3+4 or 4+4 Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Early Acceptance Program

High school seniors interested in this program must contact LECOM directly using the inquiry link on the LECOM website.  Following the interested student’s LECOM interview, LECOM will notify Elizabethtown College's HPAC and the student that s/he does or does not qualify for a letter of provisional acceptance to the LECOM Doctor of Dental Medicine Program.

4+4 Program West Virginia University School of Dentistry Doctor of Dental Surgery/B.S.

Elizabethtown College has an agreement for preferred admission to West Virginia University School of Dentistry Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program following four years (4+4 program) at Elizabethtown College. In order to apply to the 4+4 program, by the end of the sophomore year the student must: 1) have an overall GPA of at least 3.6 in courses taken at the college; 2) have successfully completed a minimum of 30 semester hours of the courses listed below; 3) have taken at least one Chemistry and one Biology core course per semester during their freshman year; 4) be on track to complete the Physics and Mathematics core courses by the end of their sophomore year; 5) have at least 10 hours of documented observation in one or more general dental practices; and 6) successfully complete a personal interview at the WVU School of Dentistry.
