Graduation from Elizabethtown College is celebrated with a ceremony held each year in May. Students who completed ALL graduation requirements in the previous summer (June or August degree conferral), fall (January degree conferral) or current spring (May degree conferral) are recognized at this ceremony. Visit the Commencement Ceremony website for more information.
All Academic Policies relating to Graduation are located in the College Catalog
Seniors who are not actually graduating may petition to indicate their desire to participate in Commencement and for verification of their status as a "member of the class." Please refer to the online Catalog for a full explanation of the Early Participation policy. Early Participation Applications (in JayWeb) for traditional day students are due in the Office of Registration and Records on or before February 1st every spring.
- Commencement Tickets will be available at the Graduation Fair in the KAV.
- The tickets are only necessary if the ceremony is held indoors due to inclement weather.
For students unable to attend the fair, graduation tickets will be available in Registration and Records (Zug 210). Students MUST present their ID to pick up the tickets. Each graduate is entitled to 3 tickets. Ticket holders will be permitted in the Thompson Gym. Overflow seating (no tickets needed) is provided in Leffler Chapel and Performance Center with streaming video of the ceremony.
Tickets are not needed if the ceremony is held outdoors in the DELL. Family and friends may sit in the designated seating area (first come first served) or bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit in the shaded areas of the Dell.
Students enrolled in our School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Edward R. Murphy Center for Continuing Education programs should consult with their main office for more information about early participation and graduation.
